Looking for a way to enjoy Labor Day? How about a trip to Momence for the inaugural Squawk and Oink Barbecue Festival.
The free event runs from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and will include barbecued chicken and pork, a cook-off competition and a flea market. The chicken and pork will be served from 12:30 to 2 p.m. According to a story in The Daily Journal, organizers hope this becomes an annual event.
