America's Country Table open in new location
A reader named Jean left me a voicemail this afternoon telling me that America’s Country Table Restaurant in Momence is open again.
It’s in a new/old location — 206 E. Washington. It’s new because it’s different from where the restaurant has been for the last few years, but old because I’m told it’s the original location of the restaurant. In the time in between the building has been a sports bar, which was owned by the same person who owns the restaurant.
According to Jean, the “new” restaurant has the same owner, same cook, even the same waitresses, they’ve just “downsized a little bit.”
All you frog leg fans can rest easy. Jean says they’re still going to have the all-you-can-eat frog leg special on Friday nights, which she says “is the best deal in Kankakee County.”
Jean also admitted that she and her family eat there 3-4 times a week, so she might be just a tiny bit biased. That’s OK, though. I’m biased about a lot of restaurants!
