Remodeled "Final Round" opens
The bar formerly known as the Final Round has reportedly reopened after extensive remodeling. I’m not sure of the new name yet, but I’ll try to find out. (And if any readers know anything about the new owners or the new name, please leave a comment below, or call me at 815.937.3374.)
The bar is on the Route 17 East frontage road, just before you cross the river. If you know where River Bend is, this place is next door.

The old Final Round (on Route 17, by River Bend) just reopened and I hear that it is totally remodeled and very nice, you may want to check it out for your readers.
I was at River Bend a few weeks ago and saw some of the construction as we drove by. It was dark, but there seemed to be a lot of activity inside, and it sure looks bigger and brighter than it was the last time I was inside. This was the bar that had all the baseball cards under Plexiglass, right?

The new name for the Final Round is the Office Hour. Small sign.

Carole emailed me to correct her comment. She says the correct name is “The Office.” I guess that way, when your boss/spouse calls, you can say, “I’m at the office” and not be lying. Clever.

Great new owners. Excelent food, and really neat atmosphere. (A must go to check out)
