The case of the missing Farmers Market bread vendor

If you’re a regular at the Kankakee Farmers Market, and you’ve been wondering where the pretzel bread people are, I’ve got good news: You can buy Labriola bread, plus lots of other goodies, six days a week at their store in Bradley.

Rondinella’s is at 189 N. Kinzie, which is about one block south of North Street. It’s on the west side of the road. Hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday.

The owners of Rondinella’s told me they liked being at the market, but that they REALLY needed to get people into the store, and this was one way to do that. As you can imagine, the store has a lot of expenses associated with it, and they need our business in order to stay open.

Remember that they sell sandwiches, including a very good italian beef, pizza kits, deli salads, ready-to-cook lasagna, all sorts of meats and cheeses, and more. They also stock lady finger cookies and mascarpone cheese, and if you like tiramisu, I’ll send you a yummy recipe.
