Bourbonnais resident advances to Round 2 of national recipe contest
Congrats to Bourbonnais resident Erik Almquist, who has made it to Round 2 of Rachael Ray’s online March Menu Mania contest.
His “Man Dip” was selected from more than 1,200 “game-friendly party food recipes” received by The Rachael Ray show. The bracket-style contest, which is played entirely online, started with 16 recipes. Erik, who is manager of the Panera Bread at 159th and Harlem, advanced past Round 1 last week.
Voting in this round continues through Friday, at which point the field will be narrowed to four. The final two contestants will compete on the air on the The Rachael Ray Show in April, and the grand prize winner receives $5,000 worth of groceries.
