The Kankakee Farmers Market will be hosting the annual Amateur Chef Challenge on Saturday (Aug. 22).
Just like the Prof Chef Challenge, each contestant will be given $50 to shop for ingredients among the market vendors at 8 a.m., and they will have until 11 a.m. to make their meal. Then the judging will begin.
