Schedule from the Watseka Theatre/Club Cafe
The nice folks at the Watseka Theatre and Club Cafe, whom I wrote about last month, sent me this schedule of upcoming events:
“Several big things coming up at the Watseka Theatre and the Club Cafe. ….
Club Cafe, never a cover charge. Besides our organic and gourmet menu we have now added the finest grilled Prime Rib in the County. Fridays 5:00 PM until the last late folks go home (10:00 PM?). Watseka Theatre – 18E Walnut St. Watseka. Reservations helpful: 815-993-6585
Oct. 9th: This Friday sees the long awaited return of Rusty ‘Flyin Fingers’ Wagner on the organ. Many calls come in from Kankakee and surroundings for Rusty!
Oct. 16th: The local guitar and singing sensation Rhenn Cahoe is back for a command performance.
Oct. 23rd: From your town, Vintage Vocals doing all the great hits of the Andrews Sisters
Oct. 30th: Guitarists Jeff McCord and Jodi Harvick ( McCord’s Sister Jo was at the paper until her retirement a year or so ago).
In the Theatre!
Oct. 17th: The Patsy Cline Show. $12.50. This is becoming a popular show with the Sweet Dreams and Joni Dreyer. Show starts at 7:00PM with video singing and her band. Doors open at 5:00PM and food service is available at a reasonable price of $6.00
Nov. 1st: OKTOBERFEST! Sun. 1:00PM Fabulous German meal, Germany video travel log, costumes, music, singing and dance, live band = Marie & Co.! Meal starts at 1:00PM show at 2:00PM $20.00 per person. Afterglow of desserts and the band in the cafe = $5. per person
Every Sat. at the Theatre offers Food and a Flick for $10! Meal at 6:00PM, movies at 7:00PM with live Theatre organ music by Rusty Wagner before the show. Movie alone is just $6.00. Vintage black and white ( mostly) classic films with coming attractions, news reels and classic cartoons!
Oct. 11th: The Stork Club starring Betty Hutton and Barry Fitzgerald!
Oct. 17th: The Patsy Cline Concert.
Oct.24th. Private Buckaroo with the Andrews Sisters, Harry James and his Band and Shemp Howard!
Oct. 31st: DOUBLE FEATURE! NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD & The original LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS w/Jack Nicholson
We are having an Irish Holiday show on Nov. 21st —- more to come.”
