The annual Zonta International Wine & Food Taste will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Nov. 6 at the Quality Inn & Suites in Bradley.

The event features numerous wines and gourmet food items to sample and purchase. Proceeds will benefit Zonta of Kankakee’s local service projects including KC-CASA, Harbor House and River Valley Crisis Pregnancy Center.

Tickets are $15 and can be purchased from a Zonta member, at the door or by calling (815) 935-8088.

ZONTA CLUB OF KANKAKEE 13TH INTERNATIONAL TASTE

Kankakee, IL – With the onset of Fall, the Kankakee community has a longtime favorite event to look forward to – one that promises the sweet, the savory, the flavor and the flair, all courtesy of the annual Zonta International Wine and Gourmet Food Taste.

A longtime favorite event in the community, the 13th Annual Taste combines wine and gourmet foods that every palate can enjoy. This year’s event will be held on Friday, November 6, 2009 from 5 – 7 p.m. at the Quality Inn and suites on Route 50 in Bradley. In addition to enjoying fine wines and other beverages, the event will also offer an amazing selection of specialty foods. The public is invited to come and sample, shop, and even select unique holiday gifts for friends and family.

There will be gift basket raffles that will include wine and gourmet food items. Baskets are sponsored by a number of businesses and individuals throughout the community. In addition this year, hand painted wine glasses will be sold at the event.

A longtime favorite event of the community, the Taste customarily draws large attendance. To accommodate, regular parking will be available at Quality Inn, and overflow parking has been arranged with Lowe’s in Bradley.
