C & L Ribs now open in Kankakee
C & L Ribs opened Oct. 16 at 406 N. Schuyler Ave. in Kankakee.
“C & L” is short for Claude & Luevenia, the husband and wife team who own it. Claude Carter also owns the building, which has been home to several restaurants in the last few years, including the now-closed Five Star Wings & More. Claude ran C & L Ribs in the same spot in 1994 and decided to reopen.
In addition to barbecue, the menu includes burgers, links, hot dogs, catfish, wings and sandwiches.
Hours are 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, and 11 a.m. to midnight Friday and Saturday. They’re closed Sunday and Monday.
