Carmen’s Bakery & Deli to open in Herscher
Carmen’s Bakery & Deli will be opening soon at 33 S. Oak in Herscher.
Owner Carmen Popik, of Bradley, said this morning that she hopes to open on Nov. 9. Bakery items, deli-style sandwiches and homemade soups will be among the offerings.
Carmen said the idea started to come together when she saw and fell in love with the location, which formerly was home to Diane’s Cakes. Carmen’s son and daughter, who has a culinary degree, will be helping with the project.
