Update: Savannah’s to open Saturday
Savannah’s, a new Southern bistro/coffee house, will open at 10 a.m. Saturday. They’re located at 2005 W. Court St. in Kankakee, in the space formerly occupied by Devon’s Bakery and Cafe.
The owners originally planned on opening only for lunch and dinner , but they’ve been persuaded (by lots of folks who like their morning coffee) to open at 7 a.m. Monday through Friday. They’ll just offer coffee and some pastries until 10 a.m., when they’ll begin offering their full menu.
Savannah’s will close at 7 p.m. Monday through Friday, and be open on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. They will be closed on Sundays.
The drive through won’t be open initially, but it could open eventually.

You have to try Savannah’s, it’s honestly delish!!! All the Southern Style sandwiches rock. Everything from their Signature Grilled Cheese to their Kentucky Hot Brown is to die for. Oh, and the “Broasted Chicken” is amazing too. Last but not least, don’t leave without a piece of their out of this world “Bread Pudding with Bourbon Sauce.” Thank me later… Aubs
