Will you be open on Christmas?

I’m compiling a list of restaurants that will be open on Christmas Eve and/or Christmas Day. If you know of one, please let me know. I’ll post details on the blog and in my print column on Dec. 17.

So far I know:

• The Homestead (1230 S. East Ave.) in Kankakee will be open Christmas Eve until 8 p.m. and on Christmas Day from 1 to 7 p.m. On Christmas Day, diners can choose from several daily specials or order from the regular menu or the children’s menu. Call (815) 933-6214 for a reservation.

    Hi Denise!

    Just wanted to let you know that BrickStone will be open on Christmas Eve from 11am to 8pm but closed Christmas Day. Reservations can be made for parties of 8 or more by calling 815-936-9277.

    One Sixty Four north will be open Christmas Eve from 11am till 9pm. A full menu is available and reservations can be made at 164north.com or by calling 815-936-0164
