Fiesta Taurina in Kankakee will close at the end of business on Sunday, Dec. 20.
The restaurant, at 1515 W. Court St., opened in February 2008.

Ate there once and was not impressed. I think some of the problem was there is plenty of Mexican restaurants in this county. Hopefully that location can get a nice restaurant to locate there.

I am really sorry to see this restaurant close. They have good food, nice portions at reasonable prices plus a DRIVE THRU. I usually go to only 4 of the area’s Mexican restaurants. La Siesta for the Filet Estrella, Fiesta Taurina for the shredded beef flauta dinner, El Burrito Loco for many things such as the Barbacoa & best of all, El Campesino for anything on the menu. They are by far the best but I do not think one trip to Fiesta Taurina justifies writing it off.

I’ll be upset to see it go. They had a great Chimichana Burrito dinner, and an AWESOME breakfast burrito.
