Wendy’s offering free Jr. Frostys as part of fundraiser
For just $1, customers at area Wendy’s restaurants can receive free Jr. Frostys for a year, and help a good cause at the same time.
The money raised will support Wendy’s Wonderful Kids, a program of the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption. It provides funding to help move children from foster care into adoptive families, according to the press release.
To participate in the fundraiser, purchase the $1 key tags at area Wendy’s while supplies last. Locally, Wendy’s are at 599 Wm. Latham Dr. in Bourbonnais, 495 N. Kinzie Ave. in Bradley, 1740 W. Court Street in Kankakee, and 129 Cypress Drive in Manteno.
Show the tag at any participating Wendy’s to receive a free Jr. Frosty.
“This key tag fund-raiser is one way to give back to the children in the communities where we live and work,” according to Mike Allegro, president of All-Star Management, Inc., and owner of the Wendy’s restaurants in Kankakee County.

For $1, customers at Wendy’s restaurants in Bourbonnais, Bradley, Joliet, Kankakee, Manteno, Mokena, and New Lenox can purchase an all-access pass to a year of free Jr. Frostys and support Wendy’s Wonderful Kids, a signature program of the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption.
“Every child deserves a family,” said Rita Soronen, executive director of the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption. “Wendy’s Wonderful Kids is a results-driven program, and it is making a difference in the lives of thousands of children. We fund the work of adoption professionals in Chicago and surrounding communities (as well as throughout North America) who focus exclusively on moving children from foster care into adoptive families.”
