The Bennett-Curtis House (302 W. Taylor St.) in Grant Park is celebrating their 18th anniversary on Monday (Jan. 18).

In addition to fine dining, they host weddings and offer catering.

Look in Thursday’s edition of The Daily Journal for a coupon good for up to $18 off the purchase of two lunch or dinner entrees. The special offer is in celebration of their anniversary and is good through Jan 31.

Happy 18th Anniversary ………

The Bennett-Curtis House has been operated by Scott & Kerry Zizic for the past 18 years. Since taking over they have made several additions to the stately mansion by adding the Roseroom featuring an 8 foot circular piece of stained glass, the garden room where a dance floor and 100 year old bar is located leading off the garden room is a deck overlooking the beautifully landscaped grounds, a gazebo with a bridge that leads over a pond to enter the gazebo.

The Bennett-Curtis house is known by people outside of Illinois, guests have traveled from Wisconsin, Indiana, and Michigan to dine at The Bennett-Curtis House. We are located only 15 minutes south of Crete or 12 minutes East of Manteno. Take a drive out to the country to the quaint little town of Grant Park, Bennett-Curtis House is located in the middle of town.

The menu is described as American cuisine known for its Fresh Cut Meats and award winning pasta dishes. Whether dining in the restaurant or part of a large banquet or wedding all the same quality and exquisite cuisine is part of the service. We offer a spectacular Mother’s Day and Easter Buffet. We can accommodate groups up to 275.

Special events and themed events are always part of The Bennett-Curtis House. We offer “Murder in the BC Mansion” Mystery Dinner, a play and dinner you figure out “Whodunit” in its 18th season. Going into our 6th season is our psychic luncheon and dinners, a great meal plus a 5 minute reading by the psychic. Halloween we hold our Haunted Dinners week, the mansion is transformed into a haunted house and our ghoulish staff serves you, with special guest dying to meet you at your table. The Bennett-Curtis House is decorated for all the holidays Valentine’s, Christmas, Easter and others. We also host a variety of events including Corporate Meetings, Bridal and Baby Showers, Fund Raisers, Jazz dinners, Wine tasting, Liquor tastings, and more.

Weddings are our specialties…. We have helped hundreds of Brides and Grooms with their wedding plans, from coordinating their wedding ceremony to every last detail of the reception. We offer our Ultimate wedding packages, where all you need is your dress and we do the rest.

In conjunction with our Weddings at The Bennett-Curtis House we also operate “A Bride’s Dream Come True Bridal & Tuxedo Shop” in the lower level of The Bennett-Curtis House. “Your one stop shop for all your wedding needs” From invitations, tuxedo, accessories, rental gowns, ice sculptures, butterfly release, catering and much much more.

We also cater off-premises from simple drop-off or box lunches to fully catered plated dinners, including china, silverwares, stemware, tables, chairs, linens, and much more.
