AMERICA’S BISTRO

America’s Bistro (110 Meadowview Center) in Kankakee will be open on Valentine’s Day for brunch and dinner. The restaurant is normally closed on Sunday, but on Feb. 14 they will be serving brunch from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and dinner from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. Call (815) 932-6795 for reservations.

BENNETT-CURTIS HOUSE

What: “Treat your sweetheart to a romantic evening. Order off the menu or enjoy one of our special packages. All packages include a 5-course meal and horse & carriage ride. The horse and carriage ride can be purchased separately for $45.”

When: Saturday, Feb. 13, or Sunday, Feb. 14

• Sweetheart Package : A heart-shaped ribeye steak for 2. $120 per couple.
• Senator’s Package: Heart-shaped beef or chicken Wellington for 2. $145 per couple.
• President’s Package: Two tender filet mignon & lobster tail to share. $185 per couple.
• Early Lover’s (5 – 7 p.m.): Choice from 3 entrees, soup, salad, dessert  and champagne. $95 per couple.

What: Murder Mystery Dinner. $54.95 per person. Includes play, 5-course menu, coffee or iced tea, tax and gratuity.

When: Feb. 13 at  7 p.m. or Feb. 14 at 4 p.m.
