Oct. 11: Family Candy Costume Party
The Kankakee Valley Park District is planning a family costume party on Oct. 11, and it sounds like a lot of fun. Here are some details:
Bring the entire family for a night of fun! The Kankakee Valley Park District invites you to the newest attraction in town, our 10-acre corn maze! Zig-Zag through the haunted maze and enjoy a movie and some drinks! Race your kids on the pedal go-karts or take a family train ride together! Candy bags will hang from corn stalks on the haunted maze. One per child please.
Pass Includes:
- Adult’s and Kids Costume Contest (with awards)
- Haunted Corn Maze
- Train Rides
- Harry Potter Movie Showing
- Complimentary Popcorn & Lemonade
- 1 Candy Bag For Each Child
- Beverage Tent (Alcoholic beverages available at small cost; must show ID.
The event will be from 6 to 10 p.m. at Splash Valley Aquatic Center in Kankakee.
Anyone who wears a costume will receive a complementary pass. Without a costume, it will cost you $3 to get in. The KVPD notes that “all costumes must be family friendly!”
