Speakout call earns a mention on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno
Did you hear that a Speakout call made it onto The Tonight Show with Jay Leno?
It’s true! Someone (a local, presumably) submitted an item from the The Daily Journal column and Jay read it during the headlines portion of his show on Monday night. You can watch it on You Tube. The Speakout item begins just after the 4-minute mark.
The call, which appeared in Speakout on Jan. 4, says: “To all you hunters who kill animals for food, shame on you; you ought to go to the store and buy the meat that was made there, where no animals were harmed.”

I saw that original comment in Speakout and it just confirmed my belief that the majority of people calling in to the Speakout line are idiots.

So does this make Kankakee the laughing stock because of one stupid person? I hope all the calls in to Speakout taking this person to task were mentioned to Leno as well.

Don’t people realize that half the calls made to Speakout are jokes? Do you honestly believe that caller believed what he said? Come on…

The question is which half?
